Anuss, Schrotes, Tainteez, Peupie, Vujeen (Location: Varies) When Felicia and Ryon would play games for the show Co-optitude and on stream, they would frequently use these names for their characters.
Logo/Retro Style - The logo and retro style of the game is influenced by Felicia and Ryon Day on Co-optitude.
Team Hooman Shirt On Clothesline (Location: Intro/Burning Town) - If you have a sharp eye, you’ll notice the original Team Hooman shirts out to dry on clotheslines in the burning town.
Cleanup Crew, Buckets (Location: Cinema, Boom 2! So Angry) - 4th Anniversary Stream where Felicia and Ryon play the game, Viscera Cleanup Detail.
Girl With Flower (Location: Cinema, Enter The Trash Panda) - Ryon streamed Flower Shop: Winter In Fairbrook and joked about a character in it, named ‘Natalie’. She’s basic, and likes briscuit. Consequently, she’s one of the most basic enemies in the game.
Anonymous Trolls (Location: Varies) This is a general reference to how ‘trolls’ instigate things online. They look for attention by being negative, and the more you engage, the worse it tends to get.
Pigmen (Location: Varies) A reference to an article that was published about the #TeamHooman community, but the writer mistakenly called it #TeamPigmen.
Wasps/Hornets (Location: Varies) When Norman fights Vujeen, wasps/hornets eventually get released as he weakens. This is an indirect reference to Felicia mentioning ‘bees in the trap’ in her gaming streams.
‘BOOM!’ (Location: Everywhere) Felicia said “BOOM!” a lot in her gaming streams after defeating an enemy or accomplishing a quest. In the game, enemies explode with a “BOOM!”, and one of the films in the cinema is called BOOM 2: So Angry.
KH-203 Robot Raccoon (Location: Cinema, Boom 2! So Angry) The dialogue and name of this mid-boss is a reference to the film RoboCop and ED-209. KH stands for ‘Kill Hoomans’.
Red Balloon (Location: Trash City, Before Subway) If you wait until it gets dark outside, a red balloon appears near a sewer grate right before the subway entrance in Trash City. This is a reference to Pennywise, from Stephen King’s It. You’ll also notice claw marks on the sewer grate!
Graffiti (Location: Trash City) A lot of the graffiti in Trash City reference #TeamHooman and general gaming.
Candy Gambler, The Wizard (Location: Camp) This refers to community member C. Randy Gamble, whose name was often mispronounced by Felicia and Ryon to ‘Candy Gambler’.
Gil, The Blacksmith (Location: Camp) This refers to community member Gil the Vlogsmith, the IRL blacksmith of #TeamHooman.
Whisky (Location: Varies) The glasses of whisky in the game represent magic for spellcasting. This is a reference to Ryon and his interest in whisky, as well as when he played the game Trine and ‘Boxee The Wizard’.
Smooth Jazz Music/ The Chill & Kills (Location: Camp) Ryon liked to play smooth jazz while he is streaming. The music in the camp by a jazz raccoon band represents this.
Silhouettes In Cinema (Location: Cinema) The raccoons and people watching the films as you play through them are a reference to Felicia Day in Mystery Science Theater 3000.
Lucky Cat (Location: Cinema, Enter The Trash Panda) The lucky cat near the gate in this area is a reference to the third #TeamHooman shirt, which includes a lucky cat in it.
BYE! Tombstones (Location: Cinema, House On Hooman Hill) The tombstones with the engraving ‘BYE!’ come from Ryon saying “BYE!” when he died frequently in games on streams and in the show Co-optitude with Felicia.
Silhouette Of Man By Haunted House (Location: Cinema, House On Hooman Hill) This is a direct reference to the film The Exorcist, with Father Merrin standing in front of the house before performing the exorcism.
‘Captain Howdy Was Here’ On Haunted House (Location: Cinema, House On Hooman Hill) This is a direct reference to the film The Exorcist, where Reagan uses a ouiji board and interacts with an entity known as ‘Captain Howdy’.
Nursery In Haunted House (Location: Cinema, House On Hooman Hill) When fighting Doppel, you may notice that the nursery is inspired by Felicia Day’s nursery for Calliope.
Knife By Shower (Location: Cinema, House On Hooman Hill) This refers to the film Psycho and the infamous shower scene.
Enrico The Deer (Location: Cinema, Bambo II: Enrico’s Revenge) This refers to Felicia playing Tomb Raider and making up a character known as ‘Enrico The Deer’.
Bambo II: Enrico’s Revenge (Location: Cinema, Bambo II: Enrico’s Revenge) refers to the Sylvester Stallone films Rambo.
Enter The Trash Panda (Location: Cinema, Enter The Trash Panda) refers to the Bruce Lee film, Enter The Dragon.
House On Hooman Hill (Location: Cinema, House On Hooman Hill) refers to the 1959 horror classic with Vincent Prince, House On Haunted Hill.
Popcorn, aka ‘Poppy’ (Location: Cinema) this enemy loosely refers to Felicia Day’s character Poppy from The Magicians.
Cinema Restroom (Location: Cinema) the sign for the restroom refers to the ‘Pooping Position’ emote which was used on Felicia Day’s gaming streams.
Oscar Statue By Garbage Can (Location: Cinema) this one is not so much a reference. But, you may miss it!
Polybius Arcade Machine (Location: Cinema) this refers to Polybius, an urban legend about a cursed arcade machine.

Geraldine (Location: Flooded Dungeon) this refers to a character Felicia Day made on stream about an old, button pushing adventurer that likes to say ‘Oh My Gawsh!’
TorontoGal, Red Maple Leaf (Location: Varies) this refers to #TeamHooman community member, TorontoGal, a moderator of all things that helps Felicia organize events and streams.
Raccoon Playing Video Games In Chair (Location: Menu) this is a direct reference to the original #TeamHooman shirt that was sold to the community and raised thousands of dollars for a wildlife charity.
Batmobile (Location: Trash City) this refers to…well, the Batmobile! Even Batman runs out of gas.
Options Menu (Location: Options) The options menu in the game is chock full of 90’s things, like a Rubik’s Cube, a Walkman, Polaroid camera, CRT TV with ‘bunny ears’ antenna, landline phone, boombox, a retro computer with floppy disk, and an old school console you may remember playing! The violin is a reference to Felicia as well, who plays violin.
